Debian repos now work again for ARM users

Just in time for the Christmas holidays, Vivaldi Technologies released a new update to the stable Vivaldi 1.13 series of the Chromium-based web browser.

This is a minor update that improves Vivaldi 1.13 to properly shutdown when using the Exit menu on Windows systems, ensure the Quit menu is handled the same as the ⌘Q keyboard shortcut on the Mac, as well as to make sure Vivaldi closes when Dev Tools are running on a separate window on macOS.

Another Dev Tools regression causing the web browser not to fully close after inspections was fixed, along with a crash that could occur when attempting to change the zoom settings in the private window. The new release also backports the latest Chromium 63 security patches and updates various translations.

ARM users will now receive updates, again

According to Vivaldi developer Ruarí Ødegaard, the team also fixed the browser's Debian repositories, allowing ARM users to receive updates for their Vivaldi installations on Raspberry Pi single-board computers. You can also download Vivaldi.1.13.1008.40 right now for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Microsoft Windows operating system.

The full changelog is attached below if you're curious to know what exactly was changed in this minor Vivaldi 1.13 update, and, in the meantime, Vivaldi devs are continuing to improve the next major release of the web browser, Vivaldi 1.14, which will introduce movable web panels and Vivaldi Sync.

Vivaldi Sync is one of the most requested features for Vivaldi, allowing users to sync their passwords, history, bookmarks, and other data across multiple installations, and we won't be surprised if Vivaldi 1.14 gets released just before the end of the year to celebrate a great 2017 for Vivaldi, which is now available for the Raspberry Pi.
