14 DAY TRIAL // Development of the upcoming Vivaldi 1.10 web browser continues today with a new snapshot, versioned 1.10.845.3, which is available for all supported platforms and brings some new functionality that some of you might find useful.
To give users more control over the images that are being displayed in their beloved web browser, the Vivaldi development team implemented a new View menu option called "Toggle Images," which is accessible using Ctrl+Alt+ I on Linux and Windows or ⌥+⌘+I on macOS and promises to let you toggle the visibility (hide) of all images on the current web page.
"Previously, you could only have accessed this functionality from the Status Bar. This was a convenient option for users that had their Status Bar visible," said Maria Popova, QA Engineer at Vivaldi, in the release announcement. "You can choose whether you want your images to load at all times; to never load or to only load from cache."
As you might have already guessed, the new "Toggle Images" option was implemented for Vivaldi fans who fancy having a cleaner interface when the Status Bar is hidden by default. Of course, the option's default keyboard shortcuts can be customized as you see fit from Settings -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Tab.

Today's Vivaldi snapshot 1.10.845.3 is based on the open-source Chromium 58.0.3029.114 web browser, and includes a bunch of assorted bug fixes and performance improvements for various components, including the developer tools, address bar, downloads, spatial navigation, tab bar, and Speed Dial. Early adopters can now update their installations via the Ubuntu PPA or download the binaries for other GNU/Linux distributions, as well as for macOS and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from our website.
