Tourist disrespects soldier, gets the scare of his life

Soldiers from the Queen’s Guard, placed outside Windsor Castle in the UK, are known for being very stoic when they’re on duty. Rumor has it that you could even tickle their nose and they wouldn’t even blink, but of course, we know that is just a myth that emerged long before the Internet and social media made everything more accessible.

This video below is whatever proof you still needed that, seriously, you can’t go around touching the guards. They might look impassible at all times, no matter what’s happening around them, but you should never assume that they won’t fight back one way or another if you cross the line.

And cross the line is exactly what this young man, a tourist, did. The video sees him mocking the soldier’s strut before touching him on the shoulder with his hand.

There is no violence in the gesture, but that doesn’t make it any less unwanted. “Step back from the Queen’s Guard!,” the soldier yells, pointing the gun with its bayonet at the man.

He jumps scared and makes a run for it - as he should have.

Not only was what he did very dangerous, because this is, after all, a soldier on duty and you’re not supposed to mess with that, but it was also very, very disrespectful. So if he was scared crazy, he probably deserved nothing less for the way he behaved.
