14 DAY TRIAL // Katniss Everdeen will be returning to a theater near you this November, for the final chapter in the “Hunger Games” saga, so what better way to pass the time until then than with a mashup of the latest trailer for that film and footage from HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones,” season 5.
It goes without saying that today’s Viral of the Day is dedicated to fans only: you can’t appreciate the sheer awesomeness of it unless you’re up to speed with “The Hunger Games” and with the events on the GoT season 5 finale.
This time, Katniss goes after another Snow instead of the one played in the “Hunger Games” franchise by Donald Sutherland: she wants Jon Snow’s head to roll, curls and all. Meanwhile, Jon Snow is brooding at The Wall and preparing for battle, while Katniss delivers her motivational speech, trying to get everyone behind her on this.
No word on what got her so riled up against Snow, but whatever it is, it seems serious. As a fan, I can only hope Jon will meet a different fate than the one on that last episode of GoT, season 5.
Thanks to good editing choices, this faux trailer plays almost as good as an actual one. “The Hunger Game of Thrones: Jon Snow Must Die” seems like a movie many would pay money to see in theaters. Would you?
