14 DAY TRIAL // Today’s Viral of the Day is the inspirational video posted by a teen from Toronto, Ontario, in which she reveals her beauty routine meant to help her hide her acne. It is embedded above and it already counts over 6.2 million hits.
Elaine Mokk has cystic acne and is now on Accutane, of which her doctor told her it would make her acne worse before it gets better. So, she had to come up with a makeup routine that would hide the nasty breakouts without irritating the skin even further.
“My acne is way more red and severe than in the video. My camera couldn't pick up the redness very well and after rendering the video it softened the skin even more,” she says in the video description.
She also explains that she isn’t expecting advice or tips on what products would be best for her skin: she’s just sharing her story with the world because she wants to be of some assistance to others who might find themselves in a similar position.
Elaine also says in a caption in the video that she would rather pay a lot of money on expensive, quality makeup products than have people stare at her in the street because of her acne.
