Today’s Viral of the Day comes courtesy of a Christian housewife named Becky Wegner Rommel, who lost her cool and recorded and posted online a 4-minute rant against same-sex marriage, which was made legal in a historical decision by the Supreme Court of the US last month.

Rommel probably didn’t expect for her video to get picked up by so many media outlets and to spark such a high number of parodies and spoofs, judging by the fact that she removed all traces of it from her Facebook and YouTube pages.

In fact, she’s removed all traces of her online activity, the Daily Mail reports, which must mean that, though she said she “could care less” (her words, not mine) if people didn’t agree with her, she must have backed down when faced with serious criticism.

You can see a version of the video that brought her 15 minutes of Internet fame below.

To LGBT supporters, like the one who uploaded it, she is a “crazy” woman not making much sense and embarrassing herself in public by turning hysterical instead of using arguments to make a point. To supporters of traditional marriage, she is a hero who’s taking on the world to spread God’s word. And that word is that same-sex marriage is a sin.

What do you make of her passionate, often rambling speech? Let me know in the comments below.
