Today, Guild Software, the developer of Vendetta Online 3D space combat MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game), has announced the release of the latest update for their project.

It has been awhile since we heard from Guild Software, as they've been very quite about Vendetta Online updates during the past one and a half months. But that doesn't mean that the game has not received improvements and new, highly anticipated features.

The fact of the matter is that Vendetta Online customers have been offered a total of six updates since the end of February, when we informed you, guys, about the availability of Vendetta Online 1.8.371, but not so many exciting things have landed in all of them.

However, there was something very interesting implemented in the Vendetta Online 1.8.375 update, such as support for Oculus SDK 1.3 public VR Prototype of the game, enabling customer Oculus Rift support. In other words, anyone with an Oculus Rift headset can now play the 3D space combat game.

"To allow the game to use the Rift, the Unknown Sources option must be enabled through the Oculus App settings by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right, choosing 'Settings,' selecting 'General,' and then checking the 'Unknown Sources' option," the developers have explained.

Here's what's in Vendetta Online 1.8.377

Vendetta Online 1.8.377 is the latest update of the game, and it implements a bunch of new things. Among them, we can mention an increase of the guild member limit to 1,000 members, the ability for capship owners to get from location to location very fast, thanks to the replacement of the giant Latos M-7 station with something smaller.

The update also adds defense turrets to the Geira Rutilus O-4 wormhole on the Serco-Deneb border and patches several rendering glitches related to shadows on GNU/Linux and MacOS platforms. Vendetta Online 1.8.377 is now available as a free update for all players.
