Guild Software developers have announced this weekend the availability of a new maintenance update for their cross-platform Vendetta Online MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), versioned 1.8.419.

Vendetta Online 1.8.419 is full of goodies, starting with a linked sensitivity curve implementation for Android gamepad analog sticks, updated damage indicators for the new Ragnarok and Hornet, as well as a brand-new Gamepad Settings menu for PCs (Linux, Mac, and Windows), which appears when a gamepad is detected.

"Lots of tweaks. The Android gamepad curves should provide a valuable improvement on that platform," said the devs in the release notes. "Similarly, let us know how the new Gamepad Settings menu works for you on the PC? It should be a big improvement, but like any major new item, it may have some aspects that need tweaking."

Work continues to offer support for use-cases like Steam Big Picture

Another interesting improvement implemented in the Vendetta Online 1.8.419 update is the possibility for a player's passenger to no longer be ejected when the player enters a sector and they're both hated by the monitoring faction. Also, work continues in order to offer support for use-cases like Steam Big Picture.

Vendetta Online 1.8.419 also addresses a few issues reported by users lately, including plugin problems that occurred when the HUD options were changed to hide touch-region discs or when the size of the regions was changed, as well as blank screenshots on Windows platforms when Anti-Aliasing is active.

The VR (Virtual Reality) settings were improved to properly reload when a gamepad is detected, and the Guild Software developers are working hard to generally allow more convenient re-mapping of gamepad controls when using the VR mode.

All Vendetta Online users can now update their installations to version 1.8.419, and if you're new to this massively multiplayer online role-playing game, you should check out the demo for GNU/Linux, Android, macOS, and Microsoft Windows operating systems on the game's homepage.
