Guild Software developers finally made time to update the news page of the Vendetta Online MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) game and let us know what new features landed in the latest updates.

It appears that Vendetta Online received a total of eight maintenance updates since our last report back in August 2016, which was about version 1.8.385. The latest stable update is now versioned Vendetta Online 1.8.393, and it introduces an updated Oculus Rift version of the game with updates from Samsung Gear VR.

For Linux users, Vendetta Online 1.8.393 addresses a crash or lockup that occurred during launch on 64-bit systems, and it looks like the self-defense mechanism was updated to propagate all crew members and capships when it's triggered by a member. Moreover, it will also propagate to any player who docks before the self-defense timer expires.

"This addressed a meaningful gameplay bug that, while we had been aware of it, we simply didn't have the development time to address it this summer. Now, however, we're working diligently to track down and iron out a whole list of long-standing bugs, before moving ahead on other areas of gameplay," reads the announcement.

Lots of Gear VR fixes land in Vendetta Online lately

At the end of the article, we've attached the full changelog with all the improvements and bug fixes that landed in Vendetta Online since the 1.8.385 update, but just in case you're curious to know what those maintenance releases changed, we can tell you right now that they bring a lot of Gear VR patches.

Without any further ado, we'd like to urge all Vendetta Online players to update their installation to the 1.8.393 build as soon as possible. Newcomers, can play the trial version or purchase a full license from the game's website. Vendetta Online is currently supported on Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS.
