Guild Software has had the pleasure of announcing a new maintenance release of their popular Vendetta Online 3D space combat massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for all supported platforms, including Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, Android, and iOS.

According to the release notes (attached at the end of the article), Vendetta Online 1.8.354 enables the multi-threaded physics engine, which is currently default to using four threads, the Anniversary Edition Vulture no longer uses livery, and it fixes some rendering issues for ships that have liveries connected to them. Furthermore, users will now be able to save livery settings in ship presets, as well as to save /alias commands that contain double quotes.

"Several issues conspired to delay development this week. For one thing, we were notified of a maintenance that will impact our web-server next week, which prioritized some re-organization and administrative work on our end," reads the announcement. "Similarly, we hoped to launch the DX11 engine into production this week, but we found a threaded-renderer bug at the last minute."

Vendetta Online 1.9 is on its way

As part of the announcement for Vendetta Online 1.8.354, the Guild Software developers have informed users that they are working very hard to make the 1.9 release of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game happen very soon, thanking them for their patience. Vendetta Online 1.9 will have a host of new features that will make players more dependent.

Vendetta Online 1.8.354 is a free update for existing users, but newcomers can purchase a license or download the free trial for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, Android, and iOS operating systems right now from the game's official website, where they can find all the details they need to get started and emerge into the awesome 3D space world of Vendetta Online.
