Guild Software announced this past weekend the release and immediate availability of a new maintenance version of their popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), Vendetta Online 1.8.346.

According to the release notes, Vendetta Online 1.8.346 is here to rename the "Route" button to "Dock" in the Mission Info, which will now display the "to dock to the local station to accept the mission" text when clicked, to add a new game web server, as well as to bring a new production database system.

The "PLAYER_DIED" lua event will now be triggered for any player that dies within your 15km sensor range, which means that the game will now display chat messages only if you're the killer or the victim. A typo was fixed in the description of Training Neutron Blaster.

"Lots of infrastructural changes took place this week. We're still kind of 'settling in' with the new servers and database systems, so please continue to let us know if anything isn't working properly," reads the announcement.

Capships received several improvements in Vendetta Online 1.8.346

Capships were improved to retain the current velocity, as well as to slow down to a stop instead of stopping instantly after un-docking from your persistent capship. Moreover, your ship will no longer be automatically docked when jumping into a sector and landing straight into a capship docking bay.

While existing Vendetta Online players can upgrade their current installation to the new version from within the game, new users can download Vendetta Online 1.8.346 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, iOS, and Android platforms from the project's website.
