It's the kind of statement that will make people crazy

Valve is still working on single player titles, and Gabe Newell said that the company is finally returning to shipping games.

Valve made a name for itself by building some of the most recognized games in the industry, such as the Half-Life series, Left 4 Dead, and Dota. For reasons that haven’t been released to the public, Valve slowed down the release of games up to a point when the community is starting to forget when the last one was launched.

In fact, if not for Steam and other exciting stuff put out by the company, Valve would have become the butt of jokes. Let’s not forget that they promised to launch three episodes for Half-Life 2 and they only got around making two.

Valve is back in business

The company seems to be doing great, but it’s difficult to gauge just how good is the business because it’s privately owned. Also, to say that it’s back in business is not exactly accurate as they never left. The problem, for the community at least, is that they are no longer making games in the true sense of the word.

According to a report on PC Gamer, Gabe Newell, co-founder and chief of Valve, made some interesting statements that he could have avoided if he wanted to. The company recently announced a new card game called Artifact, but it turned out to be more than that.

“Artifact is the first of several games that are going to be coming from us. So that's sort of good news. Hooray! Valve's going to start shipping games again,” Newell underlined.

Sure, he also said that Valve a few VR titles in the works, but it seems that Gabe Newell wanted to point out that Valve is back at making games as well. We can only hope that they have the sense to build a new IP for everyone to enjoy and to show their fans that they still know how it's done.
