File this under rumors since it doesn't come from a reliable source, but few reliable sources remain these days so we get what we can. After the warm reception the Nokia 6 has benefitted from in China, Finnish company HMD Global plans to launch yet another Nokia-branded smartphone next month.

In fact, the company may announce more than one Nokia phone in late February at Mobile World Congress (MWC). One of these devices will be the Nokia flagship smartphone, which was recently leaked as Nokia 8.

However, since the previous leak did prove to be inaccurate, we now have information about another alleged Nokia flagship. New details come from Russia this time, but as mentioned earlier, it's from an unreliable source.

Apparently, HMD Global's flagship will be launched on the market as Nokia P1 and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. No surprise there, but the source also claims that the design will be inspired by Sharp's Aquos Xx3.

Since Sharp is now owned by Foxconn, the Taiwanese company that is allowed to build Nokia smartphones, it kind of makes sense.

An IGZO display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 sounds too good to be true

The Nokia P1 will boast a 5.3-inch IGZO display with a refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. The powerful Qualcomm chipset will be paired with 6GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

On the back, the phone will pack a 24-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. Nokia P1 will be powered by a 3,500 mAh battery with Qualcomm's new Quick Charge 4 fast charging technology.

It will also include an Ultrasonic fingerprint reader and IP55/IP57 certifications. Naturally, it will ship with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system right out of the box.

There's an issue, though, as the 128GB model will cost around $800, while the 256GB version will be priced at no less than $950. We sincerely hope these details are completely inaccurate, otherwise Nokia P1 won't have too many fans to begin with.
