14 DAY TRIAL // Sony confirms not only some fresh details about its upcoming Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection experience, alongside some screenshots, but also the fact that a special demo will be released onto the PS4 console later this summer.
The Uncharted series has been around for quite some time now, and tens of millions of PS3 owners, alongside a few PS Vita users, have really enjoyed the adventures through which protagonist Nathan Drake went through in the many titles released so far.
Ahead of Uncharted 4's launch in early 2016, publisher Sony is preparing a special Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection package, which brings Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, remastered for the PS4.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is looking great, targets 60fps
The title had already gotten some early information alongside an October release date. Now, the publisher has just shared even more details on its PS blog, alongside some impressions, screenshots from an early playable version that portrayed the helicopter attack sequence from Uncharted 2.
First up, Sony confirms that, thanks to the power of the PS4, Uncharted 2 is looking better than ever, as the 1080p resolution complements the upgraded character models, environment textures, lighting, and special effects.
The framerate was close to 60fps, but Sony confirms that it can't say for sure if developer Bluepoint Games will be able to maintain it at that threshold when the game is ready for launch.
However, the publisher does confirm that the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will have subtle mechanical changes to ensure that gameplay is nearly identical throughout all three titles.
What's more, it also reveals that, later in the summer, a special demo will be released onto the PS4 for all owners of the console to enjoy.
