Developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony have been forced to delay Uncharted 4: A Thief's End quite a bit in order to make sure that they get the quality of this final entry in the series right, but now they are saying that the tweaks they have made to the story, specifically the end, will keep gamers talking about the ending for some time.

Neil Druckmann, the director working on the title, tells IGN that, "If focus tests are anything to go by, there will be some arguments about the ending. I’m excited. Indifference would be the worst thing. I would rather have people hate it than be indifferent to it. We’ll see how they react."

The game maker is now willing to talk about the final fate that awaits main characters Nathan Drake in the video game and says that, even if players think they want to know beforehand, they actually should first experience the journey he takes in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End before finding out.

The fan community has been exploring all promotional material to get a better sense of the story and where the main characters end up.

The game is set to arrive on May 10 worldwide and gamers will only be able to get it on the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is aiming for emotion, complex action

Regardless of what happens to Nathan Drake, this final installment is designed to get players to explore how far they would go to protect people they love and will have more emotional scenes than the rest of the series.

Naughty Dog says the adventure will start off with the return of long-lost brother Sam and will be centered around the search for a pirate haven called Libertalia, which is the site of a major treasure.

The action element in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will play out on a larger scale than before and players will be able to actually choose answers during cutscenes for the first time.

The developers also want to offer a multiplayer mode that includes many of the most familiar elements of the series and gets players to work together in order to achieve their aim.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End might also be the first title in the series to get multiple downloadable content packs after launch, with Naughty Dog hoping to expand both the single and the multiplayer in some interesting ways.
