After Motorola released the Moto Z series last year, some believed that the smartphone maker could actually kill the Moto X line of devices. But it seems that Motorola didn’t have such plans, as information about the Moto X4 has been surfacing for some weeks now.

Reliable leakster Evan Blass has just revealed the logo for this year’s Moto X phone, confirming the Moto X4 moniker.

In addition, the Moto X4 was featured in a leaked presentation video filmed at Lenovo, revealing the smartphone’s dual-camera setup on the back and some specifications. It’s worth mentioning that the camera system doesn’t resemble previously leaked pictures, which means that they were probably for other Motorola smartphones. The nine-second video shows the Moto X4 in a gray color and reveals some details about its internals.

Moto X4 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display and a body made out of metal and 3D glass. The presentation doesn’t provide any specific details about the dual-camera setup on the back, but it does mention the fact that it will be a smart camera, suggesting that Motorola will incorporate some relatively advanced features.

4GB of RAM and AI integration on Moto X4

Moreover, Moto X4 will come with IP68 certification against water and dust damages, so the device could be submerged in water and still function properly afterward. Motorola also mentions AI integration for its upcoming mid-ranger, and the company could actually be referring to Amazon’s Alexa, as the virtual assistant is rumored to be featured on a number of Moto phones this year.

The specs list also includes a USB Type-C port and a 3,800mAh battery with Quick Charge, although the version number is unknown at this point. The phone will run the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the fingerprint sensor is located at the front of the device. More information will surely be provided when Motorola announces the phone later this year.
