The major PS4 update improves many things

Ultra Street Fighter IV owners on the PS4 can finally get patch 1.04 for the game, which brings a suite of improvements, including some much-needed visual enhancements in terms of anisotropic filtering, anti-aliasing, and much more.

Ultra Street Fighter IV launched across PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms last year, bringing a suite of improvements and new features on top of the existing Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition experience.

Since then, Capcom worked hard on the PS4 version of the new fighting experience and released it in spring of this year, largely to get fans in the mood for next year's Street Fighter V, which is going to arrive on the PS4 as well as on the PC.

Unfortunately for PS4 owners, their version of the title didn't exactly look so good, given the power of the console, and there were quite a few problems with its gameplay and audio.

A brand new update is live for Ultra Street Fighter IV

Capcom has released different updates over the last few months, and now patch 1.04 is available for download via the PlayStation Network.

The new update brings a host of improved visual effects, including better anisotropic filtering and actual anti-aliasing, not to mention a smoother-looking user interface with less pixelation.

Plenty of other fixes have also been added by the new update, such as solutions for audio balancing issues or a better performing save game functionality, not to mention a change for the actual start screen, which no longer tells players to press the Start button, which isn't even on the PS4's DualShock 4 controller.

You can check out the changelog for update 1.04 for Ultra Street Fighter IV on the PS4 below, via NeoGAF. It's now available for download through the PlayStation Network, weighing in at around 484MB. Owners of the game will be prompted to transfer it if their console is connected to the Internet.
