Microsoft has officially kicked off the major Ultimate Game Sale promotion on its Xbox Games Store, allowing owners of the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles to score big discounts on a variety of impressive titles from now until July 13.

Microsoft has made big efforts over the years to get console users to invest in digital titles, and one of the best methods was to offer different sales and promotions.

The Ultimate Game Sale is live on Xbox One and 360

Now, after a bit of teasing, the Ultimate Game Sale is underway with a huge amount of discounts on all sorts of Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles. The promotion lasts until July 13 and is available on the digital Xbox Games Store.

A huge number of different titles are available with discounts ranging from 20% to a whopping 75%. While Xbox Live free users will get decent price cuts, the larger ones are exclusive only to Xbox Live Golf members.

On the Xbox One, users can enjoy discounts on Titanfall Deluxe, Dragon Age: Inquisition and its DLCs, Far Cry 4, Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition, Shadow of Mordor, State of Decay Year One Survival Edition, Mortal Kombat X, and many others.

Xbox 360 users get more games, bigger discounts

Meanwhile, on the Xbox 360, the offer is even more varied, and the discounts can reach up to 80%. You can score all sorts of older titles, such as The Orange Box, Mortal Kombat, Grand Theft Auto 4, Assassin's Creed 3, Prototype 2, Dead Rising 2, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and many others.

Don't forget that, when the Xbox One receives its promised backwards compatibility with older Xbox 360 games, those who own them digitally will be able to play them for free on the new console. As such, it could be a good idea to stock up on older Xbox 360 digital titles for when they are be available on the Xbox One.
