UC Browser, which is one of the most popular mobile browsing solutions in the whole world and is developed by Chinese company UCWeb, has some great news to share with us this week.

The company has announced it now holds dominion over more than 50% of the mobile browser market in India as of September 2015, referring to data compiled by Web traffic analysis tool Statcounter (as seen at BGR India).

According to the stats, UC Browser has seen a staggering success on the Indian market, with its market share increasing considerably, by up to 15% in the last 12 months. We’re told that one out of two mobile page views in the country come from UC, which is supported by UC’s cloud-based browsing technology.

UCWeb has bundled its browser solution with services and apps, but customers can customize them to fit their preferences. And we can expect to see more services launch soon, which will supposedly make the whole browsing experience a lot better.

UC Browser is second after Chrome worldwide

On top of being the top dog in India, UC Browser also reached 16.82% marketshare worldwide as of September 2015, thus becoming the second most popular mobile browser after Google’s Chrome. Things seem to be getting better and better for the company.

Earlier this month, UCWeb announced the launch of UC Browser 10.7 for Android. This version bestowed complete freedom for users to personalize the way they discover and access web content.

UCWeb also recently launched the UC Open Platform 2.0 in India, which is an ecosystem meant to help local mobile internet players to gain more users and monetize traffic.

This summer, the company also rolled out a new Android application called UC Cleaner. Developers have marketed the app as the first free phone cleaner and booster available for Android devices. The application is very easy to use and allows users to clean up junk files, free up RAM, boost memory, and manage apps.

Additionally, UC Cleaner can also intelligently clean background processes and stop hidden running apps. More than that, it is also very light on storage, as the application installation package is only 1.5MB in size.

As you can see, UCWeb is a lofty company that offers tons of products. Still, UC Browser remains its most successful app to date.
