14 DAY TRIAL // Canonical, through Udi Nachmany, has had the great pleasure of announcing that Rackspace, the world's most used managed cloud company, joined the Ubuntu Linux Certified Public Cloud (CPC) program.
In order to provide its users with the best cloud experience possible, Canonical's Ubuntu Linux experts will provide support for the Rackspace platform while making sure that the latest builds are always at their disposal. They promise to build, maintain, and patch the Rackspace images on the Ubuntu Certified Public Cloud infrastructure regularly.
While Rackspace will deliver its famous Fanatical Support to existing and future customers, Canonical ensures its users that the Ubuntu Linux images distributed through the Ubuntu CPC (Certified Public Cloud) program will work out of the box.

The benefits of the Rackspace/Ubuntu collaboration
Of course, there are currently numerous benefits from the collaboration of Rackspace with Ubuntu, and many other features will be implemented soon. Among these, we can mention support for Ubuntu Linux across all Rackspace platforms, allowing customers to connect both private and public clouds, as well as dedicated hardware, and a true end-to-end "best of Ubuntu" strategy.
Additionally, OpenStack's co-founder will join hands with the world's most popular free operating system, Ubuntu Linux, which is also the favorite choice for OpenStack deployments. Accelerating the expansion of the Ubuntu Certified Public Cloud program to more Gartner Magic Quadrant (MQ) clouds and other cloud providers is also a benefit of the Rackspace/Ubuntu collaboration.
