Call for talk and workshop proposals now open

The second UbuCon Europe event, a conference dedicated to the European Ubuntu community, is taking place next month, between September 8 and September 10, in Paris, France.

Dubbed as the libre and open source event of the year for Ubuntu Linux users, developers, and contributors, UbuCon Europe is the place you want to be if you care about the future of one of the most popular free computer operating systems powered by the Linux kernel.

The very first European Ubuntu conference took place last year between November 18 and 20, in Essen, Germany, and was put together by a group of Ubuntu members. Now, the second edition of UbuCon Europe will take place in Paris, France, from Friday, September 8, until Sunday, September 10.

Three days full of Ubuntu fun!

UbuCon Europe 2017 hosts three days full of Ubuntu fun, where attendees will be able to listen to various talks from members of the Ubuntu community on a wide range of topics, join workshops on how to use Ubuntu or get started with contributing to the popular Debian-based GNU/Linux distribution.

"Organized by the community, this event will host professionals, institutions, the European Ubuntu contributors, and more widely all the free software and 'libre'community and the general public," reads the website. "A rich and varied programming of conferences, round tables, workshops, and demonstrations."
