14 DAY TRIAL // While most of the Ubuntu fans are enjoying their brand-new Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system, it looks like the Ubuntu developers are hard at work again.
While digging through the Ubuntu Wiki, we've discovered earlier that there's already a draft release schedule published for the upcoming release of the popular Ubuntu Linux operating system, Ubuntu 16.10.
As we reported a few days ago, immediately after the release of the major Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system, Canonical founder Mark Shuttleworth has revealed the codename of Ubuntu 16.10 as being Yakkety Yak.
From the draft release schedule, it looks like Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) will be officially unveiled by Canonical later this year, on October 20. And, it is also possible to become an early adopter by downloading the first Ubuntu 16.10 daily build ISOs.

According to the draft release schedule, the toolchain will be uploaded next week, on April 28, and the first Alpha build of Ubuntu 16.10 (only for opt-in flavors) should be seeded to testers on June 30, 2016.
Then, there will be a second Alpha build, also only for the opt-in flavors, released on July 28, and the first Beta version might hit the streets on August 25, along with the Beta Freeze stage.
The Final Beta builds are currently set for September 22, 2016, when we will also be able to test drive the Ubuntu 16.10 operating system, not only the opt-in flavors.
On October 13, there should be an internal RC (Release Candidate) build, and the final release of Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) might be unveiled on October 20, 2016. Again, this is just a draft release schedule, so the dates might change in time.
