Just before the launch of The Division, the development team at Ubisoft in charge of the video game is confirming that the two paid downloadable content packs for the mix of MMO and shooter will be offered with a 30-day-long exclusivity period on the Xbox One home console from Microsoft.

The official announcement adds, "Underground, the first paid expansion, puts Agents in New York’s labyrinthine underworld of tunnels and subways to track down groups of dangerous enemies. Survival, the second paid expansion, tests players’ ability to survive and gather crucial supplies in an incredibly hostile environment."

It's unclear why the deal between Microsoft and Ubisoft only covers the first two paid DLC deliveries for The Division.

A third content drop is expected to arrive in early 2017, and the developers are saying that they are not willing to offer too many details about The Last Stand, other than the fact that it will provide a significant challenge for veteran players.

Ubisoft has made it clear that it has no plans to sell any kind of items for its new title via microtransactions and aims to make sure that all content drops offer something new and interesting for each engaged player.

Gamers who want to get all content for the game can pick up a Season Pass, a Gold Edition or a Collector's Edition for The Division

Incursion and Conflict arrive at the same time for all players

Until the paid DLC starts coming, Ubisoft plans to introduce two big free updates during April and May as well as listen to feedback from the community to fix bugs and tweak the core mechanics for improved balance.

Incursions will be first one to arrive and will add a new four-player focused end-game activity that will offer a strong challenge even for those players who have reached the level cap while introducing loot trading between squad mates.

In May, gamers will get access to Conflict, which expands the features of the Dark Zone and the Player versus Player battles that occur there while adding a new incursion that takes place in Columbus Circle and offers a special take on the concept.

The first major update for The Division, which is supposed to arrive as soon as the game goes live in all regions, has already been revealed, and gamers can take a look at the kinds of changes that Ubisoft is planning to make for all platforms.
