Assassin's Creed Syndicate publisher Ubisoft confirms, through the voice of its Kiev studio, that the delay made to the launch of the game's PC version is going to result in better performance across all configurations. As such, fans shouldn't worry about having to wait a bit more time to get the action-adventure experience.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is this year's iteration in the long-running series, and publisher Ubisoft started sharing plenty of different details earlier this year, alongside videos, screenshots, and other such things. It also confirmed a late October debut for Syndicate on PS4 and Xbox One, while mentioning that PC users would have to wait until later in the fall to get their version of the title.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate on PC benefits from the delay

After confirming that Syndicate's PC version would launch on November 17, worldwide, Ubisoft Kiev, the studio responsible for the porting process of the upcoming title, mentions that it's made several improvements in its processes to ensure more time for optimization.

What's more, the extra weeks of development time will ensure that the game will be as stable as possible when it finally launches, and that many PC users will get good performance on their configurations, according to Ubisoft Kiev's Sam Kovalev, who expresses his thoughts on the UbiBlog.

"We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project. The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one," Kovalev says.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate debuts on PS4 and Xbox One on October 23. Ubisoft has already made it clear that it wants to avoid the problems that plagued Assassin's Creed Unity at launch last year, so it's polishing the game extensively on all platforms.
