Ubisoft celebrates today, November 17, the 20th anniversary of Rayman franchise with a special live stream on Twitch. The company also announced that Rayman Adventures, a title that's now available on Apple TV, would be released on mobile platforms.

Unfortunately, we only know that Rayman Adventures will launch on iOS devices on December 3, but there's no word about releases on other mobile platforms.

We would have expected Ubisoft to bring the game to Android at the same time the iOS version hits App Store. The game has been soft-launched back in July in New Zealand, and Ubisoft stated it would be released this autumn.

However, Ubisoft appears to have taken slightly longer to make the game suitable for a worldwide launch. Hopefully, Rayman Adventures for Android will hit Google Play Store not long after it goes live in App Store.

Five months after its soft-launch, the game finally arrives on App Store

Rayman Adventures is a 2D side-scroller platform game in the vein of Rayman Legends with which it shares the graphics style.

Just like its predecessor, Rayman Adventures is an endless runner, but unlike Jungle Run and Fiesta Run, players will be able to change the direction of their running.

It's unclear whether or not the game will be available for free, but we know for sure it will come with a shop similar to Rayman Fiesta Run where players will be able to purchase items using gems earned from daily rewards and other events.

“Rayman is one of Ubisoft’s most iconic and beloved characters, and he is still going strong 20 years after his creation. That is a testament to our teams’ expertise and passion, and our ability to take the Rayman franchise in exciting new directions.

“As a fan of Rayman from Day one, it’s always an exciting and special moment for me when we welcome a new installment in the series. I’m looking forward to Rayman fans getting their hands on Rayman Adventures and to creating more adventures and fun with him in the years to come,” said Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft.
