Google has announced that it will provide users with 50% discount on Uber fares if they pay using the Mountain View-based company's Android Pay system. The offer is available for users who have already downloaded and set up the Android Pay service on their phones and are also registered as Uber riders.

Google has informed us that the offer is available for 10 rides and that users will get 50% off a trip (up to $5.00 per ride) requested using the Uber app and Android Pay.

The offer expires on October 15, and it's valid only in the US. In addition, users must add Android Pay as a payment option in the Uber app and make sure they select Android Pay in the confirmation screen when requesting a ride. No codes or coupons are required in order to benefit from the offer.

Google has been focusing on its Android Pay service extensively, as the company has also revealed that it added another bank to its service, Chase. In addition, Google brought an update to its Android browser.

Chrome 53 now comes with Android Pay support, which would allow users to browse retail websites online and purchase products with the tap of a finger. Google has mentioned that Android Pay doesn't share actual account numbers with merchants, so users shouldn't be worried about keeping their card number secure.

Google has announced that it will be partnering with other merchants and businesses, in order to integrate payments and help users make purchases using Android Pay.
