The folks over at BitTorrent have just released a new version of uTorrent that allows users to find and download torrents directly to their Android smartphones.

Although the application is still in beta stages, developers claim uTorrent is made to be simple, fast, and free, which means there are no speed limits or size limits on mobile downloads.

Obviously, it is recommended to take advantage of Wi-Fi only mode, which was brought in a previous update, in order to avoid data charges and for best performance.

The latest update promises to bring fixes for critical bugs and crashes, though developers have yet to offer more details on the matter.

uTorrent 1.13 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
