Microsoft presented its new arsenal for the hardware market on Tuesday, but since most of the devices will become available later this month or in October (some are already up for preorder, though). The company is trying to give everyone the chance to try them out and see what they're all about live.

So the software firm has started bringing demo units of the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, Surface Pro 4, Surface Book, and Microsoft Band 2 in stores across the United States, allowing visitors not only to get their hands on a device and take it for a spin, but also to place a pre-order right in the store.

At the same time, Microsoft has trained personnel to tell you what all these devices are about, so if you want to learn more about the new Lumia models, for instance, there's almost someone there to answer your questions.

It's a win-win plan

This strategy is clearly coming in handy for both the company and its potential customers because it's pretty clear that people need to stay informed about everything Microsoft and trying out devices live is the best way to decide whether a phone or tablet is worth buying or not.

The Band 2 is an even better example because it must be worn on your wrist, so trying it out not only to determine if it's comfortable, but also to find out the proper size for your hand is easier if you have a demo unit.

The first-generation model was considered to be rather uncomfortable by many buyers, so simply trying one out could really come in handy to see if anything has changed and to what extent in this regard.

All these devices should hit the shelves by or in October, so if you really want to pre-order any of them, it's better to simply pay a visit to the nearest Microsoft store to help decide which one you should get.
