Truecaller, the application that allows users to identify unknown incoming calls, is available on all major mobile platforms, including Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

However, Windows Insiders weren't able to use the application until today, since Truecaller was not compatible with Windows 10 Mobile operating system.

Given the high number of people who are now running a Windows 10 Mobile Preview build, developers have decided to make it available on the new version of the OS as well.

Not to mention that we're just several weeks away from the release of Windows 10 Mobile, so many developers will have to update their apps to work flawlessly on the new platform.

That being said, it looks like Truecaller has launched some kind of preview version of their application, which will most likely be improved in the coming weeks.

The application now works on all Windows 10 Mobile handsets

Nevertheless, the most important improvement included in this version of Truecaller is the fact that the application will now work on any smartphone powered by Windows 10 Mobile, not just on Lumia handsets.

According to developers, “Windows 10 Mobile is now able to provide users the ability to select their Caller ID app in the system settings.”

“Truecaller slips into this slot quite easily when the user goes through the Truecaller setup, or through the system phone settings. The improved Caller ID will also add the location of where the number has been originally registered.”

This version of Truecaller for Windows 10 Mobile comes with improved Caller ID and the option to set Truecaller as Caller ID app in the phone settings.

But, developers mention that this is just a sneak peek at their new design, so new features and enhancements are expected to arrive soon.

You can now download Truecaller for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows 10 Mobile.
