After a drop of extra content and a one-day extension, the beta period for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on the PlayStation 4 has ended, but the development team at Treyarch is not ready to part with the participating gamers without thanking them for their presence and for the way they have reacted during their first interactions with the shooter.

On the official site, the company says, "Thank you to everyone that joined the fun, provided feedback and helped to improve the Day 1 experience for all! There were a few bumps along the way - which are the sort of kinks that Betas are intended to help iron out - and we appreciate your patience."

Both reactions from players and the data gathered from matches are now being evaluated in order to make sure that the quality of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the best it can be when it launches later in the year.

Testing will continue now for the PC and Xbox One versions of the title, with the beta for this platforms set to start on Wednesday, August 26.

It's unclear whether gamers will be able to play until Sunday or Monday and whether they will have access to the extra map and mode that were offered on the PlayStation 4.

Treyarch seems to be suggesting that extra elements will be added to the beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 once it gets running, based on the feedback coming from gamers.

Multiplayer includes Specialists, focuses on movement

Treyarch has made a lot of changes for its next title, taking advantage of the far future setting to introduce a wide range of new mechanics.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is offering a multiplayer where movement is more important than ever, with gamers now able to boost and jump their way across the maps in order to take out enemies without being noticed until it is too late.

The new Specialists, with their unique weapons and abilities, also introduce more choices when it comes to preparations and make engagements feel fresher and more exciting.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 can be played on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on November 6 of this year, and Legacy versions are also introduced for those who want to enjoy the shooter on older consoles.
