Total War: Warhammer is one of the most interesting strategy titles set to arrive in 2016, and for those who want to get a fuller picture of the factions that the title features, The Creative Assembly is delivering a new video that shows a campaign played from the perspective of the Vampire Counts.

The close-to-nine-minute-long footage features Heinrich Kemmler, the second Legendary Lord of the race, and offers a close look at the way the undead can use a range of special abilities in order to influence the world around them.

There are also close looks at the units that the Vampire Counts will be able to use on the battlefield and the unique way in which they can use their necromancer powers to make it easy to subvert their enemies, regardless of whether they are Greenskins, Dwarves or the Empire.

The most interesting thing about the faction is that it can directly raise the dead both in combat and on the strategic map to bolster its ranks, keeping their armies in action when others might have to retreat to replenish their ranks.

Total War: Warhammer will be launched on the PC on May 24 of this year, and gamers can get access to a new Chaos warrior faction if they are willing to pay for a pre-order.

The Creative Assembly tweaks siege battles and province mechanics

The Vampire Counts are the last revealed faction for Total War: Warhammer, and they are special because they can use both heroes and unique buildings to spread corruption in neighboring provinces, which bring down public order and can even destroy armies fielded by their enemies.

Their armies feature some very powerful unique units that can attack from both the ground and the air, but they have no ranged attackers, which means that players will need to be aggressive in battle and use fear to make their task easier.

The series has made its name with titles that have used history as an inspiration, but the move to the fantasy world of Warhammer means that gamers will be able to perform some impressive feats with their Legendary Lords and can also deploy magic in order to influence the battlefield.

The Creative Assembly has also recently explained that it has tweaked siege battles to put more emphasis on the fight for the walls and that a new province occupation system means that no faction can take over the entire world.
