We told you a few weeks ago that Feral Interactive, a video games publisher for GNU/Linux and MacOS platforms, announced that they were working on porting the Tomb Raider 2013 reboot to Linux.

It has been almost a month since then, and Feral Interactive has been pretty quiet about the upcoming port of the superb adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, whose main protagonist is the gorgeous Lara Croft.

But today, April 18, 2016, they've just announced the official system requirements for playing the Tomb Raider 2013 game in Linux kernel-based operating systems, as well as to inform us all that the port will be released very soon.

"Will your Linux PC survive the action and adventure in Tomb Raider?" says Feral Interactive in today's announcement. "Tomb Raider for Linux will be out very soon and will be available from Steam and the Feral Store."

Here are the Tomb Raider 2013 for Linux system requirements

Therefore, if you're wondering what kind of hardware components you'll need to enjoy the Tomb Raider game on your Linux box before buying it, we can tell you that the minimum system requirements recommended by Feral Interactive are a computer running 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) or SteamOS.

The PC must have at least an Intel i3 or AMD FX-6300 processor, 4GB RAM, and an Nvidia graphics card with 1GB of memory or an AMD graphics card with 2GB of memory. The latter requires you to have the latest Mesa 11.2 3D Graphics Library installed.

However, for the best performance, Feral Interactive recommends a computer with at least an Intel i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce 760 graphics card with 3GB of memory and the latest Nvidia 364.12 proprietary video driver installed. Tomb Raider will be available soon for Steam on Linux.
