It’s unclear which users can join the secret community, but apparently they can be either invited by Tinder or nominated by people who are already members. But those who receive an invitation don’t have the option to invite someone else. In this way, Tinder keeps its Select section a small community that doesn’t grow too fast. One thing is for sure, Tinder Select is for relatively high-profile and generally attractive people.
The Tinder Elo score could be one factor that helps people join Tinder Select. This is an algorithmic rating system across all Tinder users based on thousands of signals.

Pictures of Tinder Select show a major difference in terms of design compared to the regular app available for everyone.
The interface has a new blue color, instead of the regular orange one. In addition, users can switch between Tinder and Tinder Select, which would make sense considering that the latter doesn’t have that many users.
Tinder has apparently been around for about six months, but the company has yet to officially announce the new section. The company might be looking to keep the section secret and only allow elite members to join. Tinder isn’t the only app that has attempted to cater to its higher-profile users; Raya and The League have also tried to build an elite user base.
