When you first run the app, it prompts you to set up your accounts, and it can not only quickly verify it after configuration but also check for changes regularly. The built-in monitoring system performs new checks every 12 hours to make sure that your accounts haven’t been involved in the latest security breaches.
Haveibeenpwned is updated regularly with new information, and that’s why it’s important for “Hacked?” to make sure that your accounts are fully secure every once in a while.
And WinBeta notes, the app also sends you notifications and runs in the background, so you just set it up and you can forget about it. The developing team says that your accounts are fully secure because they’re not shared with anybody, as the app only connects to the aforementioned API, which, in turn, uses the HTTPS protocol.
It goes without saying that this is the very first version of the app, and it’s still in its early days, so there’s still room for improvement. But on the other hand, it’s good to see the Windows 10 universal app concept growing with more apps from a wide variety of categories.
