You might want to drip holly water into your eyes after this

Supposing they sell holly water online, now would be a good time to order some. Preferably, a bucket or two. Or maybe a dozen, just to be on the safe side. You'll probably need some to sprinkle around the house and pour into your eyes after you're done looking at the baby picture below.

The image is a 4D sonogram of an unborn child inside its mother's womb. It was posted on Reddit just the other day and has since gone viral.

Now, it might be that, as a rule, it's only doctors and devoted, loving parents that can actually see anything in ultrasound images of yet-to-be-born bundles of joy, but this is not the case with this view. Something is definitely there, and it does not look pretty. Or friendly, for that matter.

Not to beat about the bush, the face staring back from this sonogram kind of, sort of resembles a creature taken straight out of a horror movie.

The baby's identity remains a mystery

Reddit user _ItsAllRelative, who was kind enough to share the image with us, came across earlier this year, when he and his wife went to get a 4D sonogram of their own child. Apparently, the image was hanging on the bulletin board in the waiting room.

The couple were so freaked out by it that they eventually settled on a regular ultrasound, just to make sure that their baby's portrait would not come out looking quite as terrifying.

“My wife and I went to get a 4D ultrasound of our unborn child. Saw this picture. Changed our minds,” _ItsAllRelative captioned the image. “If that was my child, we would have went straight to planned parenthood or the Catholic church to ‘take care’ of it,” he added.

As for how it was that this positively horrifying, goosebumps-inducing 4D sonogram ended up on the bulletin board at the doctor's officer, this aspect is yet to be clarified.
