14 DAY TRIAL // Lumia 950 and 950 XL are just around the corner, but despite this, Microsoft’s keeping all details secret in what seems to be the best way to stir up interest and make everyone curious about its new phones.
Using the rather limited and unconfirmed details that are available on the web right now, skilled designers across the world create their own concepts imagining the new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, and this is the case with the renderings you see here.
Imagined in multiple colors, including black, white, blue, and green, this rendered version of Lumia 950 XL is very likely to look much better than the real deal, which could make many wonder why Microsoft isn’t paying more attention to such concepts when building new phones.
Of course, these renders are based on the rumored specs of the Lumia 950 XL, so it envisions a phone with a 5.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels, a 20 MP PureView rear camera with triple LED flash, a 5 MP wide-angle front-facing unit, a Snapdragon 810 61-bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, USB Type-C and 32 GB of internal storage space.
Premium materials
Word has it that Microsoft’s working to make the Lumia 950 and the XL sibling excel in terms of materials and finish, so both devices will come with premium materials.
In this concept, the designer imagined a matte polycarbonate body and aluminum side buttons, as well as features that can only be available on high-end devices, such as an iris scanner and wireless charging.
Keep in mind that this is just a concept and Microsoft’s devices are unlikely to look exactly like that, although we have to admit that we’d love the new Lumias to be at least similar to this. More official information will be provided soon as we get closer to the October 6 unveiling.
