As in they want turn an actual dead cow into a helicopter

A few years back, a Dutch artist by the name of Bart Jansen turned his dead cat into a helicopter. Now, he's working on a similar project. This time, however, he'll be pimping a deceased cow.

That's right, the artist says that, together with his pal and esteemed engineer Arjen Beltman, he is hard at work designing and building a so-called cow helicopter.

Like the artist's dead cat before it, the cow will first be stuffed. Then, Bart Jansen and Arjen Beltman will fit the corpse with an engine and propellers. They might even add a seat for a pilot.

Interestingly, the team isn't adamant about using a cow corpse to complete this project of theirs. Any animal will do, just as long as, once turned into a helicopter, it's big enough to accommodate for a person.

“A cow could fit a person. So a cow is one of the options. That means we’d be using a cow indeed,” Bart Jensen told the press in an interview, as cited by Metro.

The cat helicopter was a big hit

Bart Jansen's pet cat Orville, named after Orville Wright of the Wright brothers, who in 1903 conducted the first controlled flight of a power-driven airplane, passed away in 2011 after being hit by a car.

Rather than bury the feline, as any other cat owner would have done in his place, the Dutch artist held on to it and decided to turn it into a work of art.

Together with Arjen Beltman, he had it stuffed and then fit it with an engine and propellers, turning it into the world's first flying cat. The so-called Orvillecopter made its public debut at an art festival in Amsterdam in 2012.

Since it's not all that often that dead cats are turned into flying machines, Bart Jansen's Orvillecopter didn't go unnoticed. To this day, some are quite amused with the artist's creation, others think him, well, insane.

To his mind, however, the Dutch artist doesn't think he did anything wrong. In fact, he says that's probably what Orville would've wanted, especially since the feline very much enjoyed chasing after birds and exploring the great outdoors.

Being made into a helicopter, the dead cat can still have fun chasing after birds, quite possibly scaring the feathers off of them.
