It can transform any image into a special wallpaper

If you're not a fan the iPhone X notch, you should know that there's an app out there promising to hide it with a little wallpaper trick, and it doesn't even require a jailbreak.

I usually like Apple's products, but would refuse to believe that Apple came with that "notch" design for the iPhone X, it's 10th anniversary iPhone. Truth be told, I am not a fan of that horrible notch, and, if you're like me, there's an app that can hide it, sort of.

Meet Notcho, the first app designed to help you hide the notch of the iPhone X using specially crafted wallpapers. You might have seen that wallpaper trick tutorial on the Internet on how to hide the notch on the iPhone X, so someone took it to the next level and created an app.

There's an app for that

Notcho is the creation of Cromulent Labs, and it manipulates any image or photo you throw at it, creating a dark area on the upper part of the image that would make it look like there's no screen there. Best of all, the app even ships with a bunch of neat wallpapers already modified and ready to be used on your iPhone X.

"Notcho is the first app created specifically for iPhone X. You can import any photos or images and then save a specially created image that can be set as a wallpaper in the Photos app that hides the notch at the top of the screen," reads the product's description on the App Store.

But there's a catch, as the wallpaper trick can only "hide" the notch on the home screen or lock screen, which means that you'll still see the notch on your iPhone X when running apps. While the app is free, it will place a watermark on the wallpapers, which can be removed for an $1.99 USD one-time payment.
