The woman selling it says she has no use for it whatsoever

26-year-old Stephanie Ritter of Southern California, US, hopes to make $50,000 (nearly €45,000) selling her college diploma on eBay.

The degree is authentic. The woman got it from Florida State University, which she graduated from back in 2011 with a major in theater.

Except now she has no use for it

By the looks of it, Stephanie Ritter very much regrets wasting her time attending classes at Florida State University between 2007 and 2011.

She might have gotten a diploma, but it's not like she has any use for it. She hasn't managed to find a job in her field - she works as an assistant - and to top it all off, she is in debt.

With no silver lining anywhere in sight, the 26-year-old decided to list her college diploma on eBay hoping that somebody might want to reimburse her for the time she wasted studying theater.

“I'm doing the exact same things and probably getting paid the exact same amount as people that dropped out halfway through freshman year, except I'm still $40,000 [over €35,000] in debt and they're, well, not,” she said in an interview, as cited by DM.

The $50,000 Stephanie Ritter hopes to make selling her Florida State University diploma should cover this debt, as well as what the money she spent on books, room and board and the like while attending classes.

“Never been used to get a job before!” the 26-year-old describes her diploma, hoping somebody might take an interest in it. After all, why waste time going to college when you can just buy a degree?

There are perks to buying the diploma

Whoever buys Stephanie Ritter's college degree will get a bit more than the pristine diploma. Thus, the graduate promises to take them on a tour of Florida State University and show them the best places for dining or partying.

She'll even let them sneak a peek through her photo albums from her college days and see a play put on stage by the University's School of Theater, just so that they will get the full experience.

If the plan fails and nobody buys her diploma, the 26-year-old hopes that at least some rich family will consider adopting her or perhaps the government will erase her debt.
