The Red Planet is starting to look like a space kitchen

It was just a few days ago that a photo showing what appeared to be a spoon floating about on the surface of the Red Planet went viral, with some calling the odd appearance definite proof of aliens living on this nearby orb.

Well, as it turns out, there's more than just one recluse spoon on Mars. There's at least one other such piece of cutlery nearby, together with a chopstick and even what appears to be a cheese grater. Yup, this planet is starting to look less like a desolated orb and more like a space kitchen.

The cooking utensils were all detected by conspiracy theorists who, by the looks of it, know better than trust NASA and other space agencies when they lie and tell us that, other than some spectacular landscapes, there really isn't anything worthwhile on the Red Planet. Not alien artifacts, at least.

In the image below, delivered by the Curiosity rover, the floating spoon that grabbed headlines last week is shown in the bottom left. Then, the second spoon and the supposed cheese grater appear to the right of the view. As for the chopstick, it is shown in the inset.

Not at all surprisingly, scientists are sticking to their story and claiming that these appearances on Mars are nothing but the end result of pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon that comes down to seeing familiar items where there is nothing to see.
