The major update brings plenty of changes

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red confirms that the next major update for the game, previously known as 1.09, is now set to take the RPG to version 1.10, due to the huge amount of changes included in the patch.

The Witcher 3 made its way onto PC, PS4, and Xbox One back in May, and since then, owners of the title across all platforms received a lot of bigger and smaller updates, designed to solve quests, glitches, and much more, in addition to the free DLC packs.

In the last few weeks, however, the studio has split its workforce to complete two major projects: the upcoming Hearts of Stone expansion that arrives next week and the long awaited next update for The Witcher 3.

Patch 1.09 is now set to bear the 1.10 version number

After offering some teaser statements last week, CD Projekt Red Community Manager Marcin Momot now confirms on the official forums that the next update has increased in size, and as a result, the studio is going to release it in the form of update 1.10.

He also mentions that not a lot of details can be shared just yet, as they simply haven't set in stone many aspects of the update. He does leave the door open for a changelog or at least a formal announcement that can appear this week, but as of yet, nothing is certain.

"The thing is that the update is really huge and we don't want to post the list until we're 100% sure everything is in there. Just between me and you guys, there should be some development in this department this week. P.S. It's not called 1.09 anymore, but 1.10," he says.

Considering Hearts of Stone arrives for The Witcher 3 on October 13, it's a safe bet to assume that the update would arrive simultaneously for the big RPG. Expect to hear more in the following days.
