The Witcher 3 PC owners are met today with a brand new patch for their version of the game, weighing in at 2.2GB. Unfortunately for them, it's not actually the long-awaited update 1.07 for the RPG, as CD Projekt Red has only released it to add more languages in the extra artpack for the title.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched back in May across PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms around the world. Since then, developer CD Projekt Red has released a wide array of updates, DLC, and other goodies for the sprawling role-playing experience.

The next big update is patch 1.07, which is set to bring many new things to the title. The update was confirmed earlier this week and should arrive in the following days.

PC users have a new update for the artpack

PC users have started reporting that a brand new update, weighing in at a hefty 2.2GB, is available for download across the Steam and GOG Galaxy clients. Before they get their hopes up about receiving patch 1.07 early, CD Projekt Red confirms on the Steam forums that it's just an update targeting the game's artpack.

Apparently, the digital artbook, soundtrack, map, manual, and wallpapers are available in multiple languages, thanks to the new update.

Patch 1.07 is coming as soon as possible

The studio also mentions that it's working hard on the finishing touches for The Witcher 3 patch 1.07. There's no estimated time of arrival just yet, but the developer wants to release it across all platforms at the same time.

After the update is live, the Polish team will get back to building the final free DLC packs that were promised to fans after the RPG's launch.

Expect to hear more about The Witcher 3 patch 1.07 and its eventual release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in the following days.
