CD Projekt Red confirms that a technical error caused the next DLC for The Witcher 3 to surface early, in the form of the alternate outfit for Ciri. The studio also mentions that it's working on "something big" that will impress plenty of people and that the first details will appear next week.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt saw the light of day on May 19 across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms all around the world. Since then, developer CD Projekt Red has released a wide array of new free content, as part of the 16 free add-ons it promised ahead of the game's launch.

Ciri's new outfit is launching next week

Already a big part of the new content has been released across all platforms, but earlier this week, a new add-on was mentioned, alongside the confirmed free quest DLC. On the Xbox Live marketplace, a temporary listing appeared depicting an alternate oufit for Ciri, the secondary protagonist of the actual game.

Instead of denying anything about it, CD Projekt Red confirms on the official forums that work on the Ciri outfit DLC is still ongoing, and while the design is final, it won't be released right now. An actual release period isn't given for the add-on, but it's quite possible that it will debut next week, for free, across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Something big is also coming soon to The Witcher 3

Besides the free outfit, CD Projekt Red also mentions that it's preparing something big for fans, and the first details might be shared next week.

"There was no additional stuff included this week. Just the DLC. There’s something big brewing and will be coming soon though. More info probably next week but no confirmations yet," Community Manager Marcin Momot told fans.

As such, The Witcher 3 fans can expect to see not only the new outfit for Ciri but also a few new things for the sprawling role-playing game.
