Turing Robotics Industries (TRI) is a company that had nothing to do with the smartphone industry until a few months ago when it announced the Turing Phone.

The Turing Phone is world's first smartphone made from Liquidmorphium liquid metal, which is said to be tougher than titanium and steel. That's in addition to the phone's futuristic look and the high-end specs it offers.

We have already reported about the Turing Phone back in April, but at that time the smartphone was set to go on pre-order on July 9. Well, it looks like TRI has decided to delay the pre-order period for a few weeks.

But the good news for those who have been following the news about the Turing Phone in order to try and purchase one, is that TRI has just announced it will start taking pre-orders for its ultra-strong smartphone in July 31.

As many of you probably know by now, the Turing Phone will be available in three models: 16GB ($610), 64GB ($740) and 128GB ($870). TRI also confirmed that it would announce four different color options for the Turing Phone on July 22.

It's also worth mentioning that those who pre-order any of the three Turing Phone models will also receive a Bluetooth keyboard, a Bluetooth speaker, a Bluetooth headset and a gaming controller for free.

A rather old chipset powers the Turing Phone

Moving on to specs, the Turing Phone comes with a fingerprint sensor that's been placed on one of the sides instead of under the Home button.

Also, the standard microUSB port has been replaced with a magnetic charging port. According to TRI, thanks to the Binnacle Ocean Master nano-coating, the Turing Phone is waterproof up to 30 feet.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. On the back, the smartphone will pack a 13-megapixel photo snapper, while in the front there will be an 8-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

The Turing Phone will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

The smartphone has also been confirmed to sport a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. Those who pre-order the smartphone might receive their devices as early as August 10.
