The iPhone X generated extraordinary excitement especially in Apple’s own user base, with the original supply, although constrained, selling out in just a few minutes.

Since more iPhone X buyers are getting the device following Apple dealing with inventory issues, it’s easier to determine the new model’s pros and cons, especially because consumer reviews are now being posted pretty much all over the web.

A research conducted by Strategy Analytics and analyzing all these reviews highlights three of the features that iPhone X buyers like the most on the anniversary iPhone.

Three main highly-praised points

First and foremost, it’s the facial recognition cameras that power Face ID and Animoji. Despite demos and reports pointing to bypassing methods and highlighting the vulnerabilities of a facial recognition system, Face ID has been very well received, the research notes.

“Apple’s upgraded front-facing TrueDepth camera has allowed new security and augmented reality features through Face ID and Animojis, respectively. In particular, Consumer sentiment surrounding Face ID is extremely positive,” Strategy Analytics says.

Then, there’s the mix of battery life and OLED display that customers are very impressed with, as the iPhone X is the first to make the switch from LCD and to embrace an L-shaped battery that uses the space under the case in a more effective manner.

And last but not least, it’s the iOS ecosystem, with the research firm saying that Apple continues to be one of the companies with the most loyal user bases out there.

“Brand equity remains an important factor for the iPhone X. As an established brand with a loyal customer base, those already in the Apple ecosystem will continue to purchase these products,” it notes.

Even though iPhone X criticism barely exists, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s all about milk and honey about this new device. You can find more about the pros and cons of the anniversary model in our iPhone X review here.
