More and more Android devices are getting iPhone X's notch

Android vs. iPhone: Who's Copying Whom Most? This is the number one question smartphone users are asking these days, and can't help but notice a growing trend in 2018 of copying iPhone X's notch by more and more Android phone manufacturers.

Last year, when Apple unveiled its 10th anniversary iPhone, which we all know as the iPhone X, the entire Android community laugh at them when they saw the so-called "notch" on top of the display. Just search YouTube for iPhone X parodies, and you'll see what we're talking about here.

The "notch" doesn't have so many fans out there, as Apple should have released an iPhone with a full-screen display instead, but maybe that's the best idea they have had yet. Half a year later, it turns out Android phone manufacturers didn't have better design ideas either for their 2018 models and started adopting the "notch" too.

Your next Android smartphone will probably have a notch

If you followed the smartphone news during last week's MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018 event, which took place in the beautiful city of Barcelona, you probably noticed a bunch of new and upcoming Android smartphones being announced with a notch, bigger or smaller, on top of their full-screen displays.

Among these, we can mention the ASUS ZenFone 5, Huawei P20, LG G7, OPPO R15, Leagoo S9, Doogee V, Ulefone T2 Pro, OnePlus 6, and Oukitel U18. Talented designer Ben Geskin put together a compilation of some of these Android smartphones that already adopted the notch, and you can see them in all of their beauty in the tweet attached below.

So whether you want to or not, your next Android smartphone will probably have a notch too. Samsung hasn't yet adopted iPhone X's notch, and probably won't, as the Galaxy S9 series comes with pretty much last year's design, but big Android device manufacturers like Huawei, ASUS, and OnePlus are adopting the notch in 2018.

We're curious to know how many of you want an Android smartphone with a notch in 2018, so don't hesitate to drop a comment below whether you're a "notch" fan or not. Also, would you purchase a smartphone with a notch?
