On Thanksgiving day, Russian developer Do My Best Games was proud to announce the availability of the Linux port of their post-apocalyptic train simulator and zombie shooter game, The Final Station.

Developed by Do My Best Games and published by tinyBuild Games, the title was launched on August 30, 2016, on Valve's Steam gaming distribution platform, but only for Windows and Mac operating systems.

It took them less than three months to port the game to the Linux platform, but here it is folks, you can finally play The Final Station on your favorite GNU/Linux distribution. Best of all, the game is now on sale during Steam Autumn Sale 2016, and you can buy it right now.

"Time has come, we have long promised Linux version of the game," said Oleg Sergeev in the announcement. "This is our first Linux port (and experience), so if you have any problems or bugs, just drop us a message here or in Discussions, we will be glad to fix any issues."

A post-apocalyptic adventure in 2D

The Final Station is a masterpiece, a 2D side-scrolling shooter and post-apocalyptic adventure with pixel graphics where you'll be playing a train conductor that needs to make sure the train is operational and always reaches the next station.

Being set in a dying world, you'll have to shoot your way through the crowds of infected people during each station, as well as explore these stations in search for survivors and supplies. The game story features a total of five captivating chapters.

The Final Station will definitely bring up good ol' memories for old school gamers, and it does not even have any major requirements. Below you can see the launch trailer and a gallery of screenshots to show you more of what to expect.
