14 DAY TRIAL // After announcing the availability of the last Alpha build of their upcoming Prison Architect game, Introversion Software reveals the fact that the final version of Prison Architect will be released next week when it leaves Steam Early Access.
Prison Architect is a commercial and cross-platform game where players start by building a holding cell with basic electricity and water for the first batch of prisoners and continues until they construct the world's biggest and most secure prison.
Yes, you've guessed it, it is a prison management sim, but one that you've never played before. The game has been in development for quite some time now, with the Alpha 36 build announced a month ago, fixing the last remaining bugs and introducing a host of new features in preparation for the final release.
Prison Architect was released into Steam's Early Access back in September 26, 2012, but today we have some great news for those of you who were eagerly awaiting for the final release of the game, as the Introversion developers have just informed us that Prison Architect 1.0 will arrive in exactly one week from today, on October 6, 2015.
There will be a new Escape Mode in Prison Architect 1.0
Among the new features implemented in the forthcoming Prison Architect 1.0 game, we can mention an all-new Escape Mode, which lets players load a random facility, take control of a prisoner, and discover new ways of escaping the prison, the addition of four new chapters to the single-player mode, as well as support for a total of 26 languages.
"Remember the first time you played PA and helped build the execution chamber for Edward? Well, we've extended this by four more stories for you to get your teeth into," said the developers on Facebook. "Bored of building prisons? Switch to escape mode, load a random facility and take direct control of a prisoner and crack on with the important business of breaking out."
As expected, Prison Architect 1.0 will be available for all supported platforms, including GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS X. On Tuesday, October 6, you will be able to purchase Prison Architect 1.0 from the game's official website.
