The Fappening saga continues in 2018 with new photo leaks published online every once in a while, and the most recent victim is none other than Meghan Markle, the soon-to-be Mrs. Prince Harry.
A website known in the past for posting leaks as part of the Fappening hacking scandal has now published what it claims to be a preview of a new batch of stolen photos allegedly showing Megan Markle half-naked.
The Blast writes that Markle is believed to be topless in one of the photos, though the website that posted the picture covered the nude content, instead keeping the face visible.
Obviously, it's not known if the photos are legit and whether any X-rated content has actually been stolen, but if this is the case, it’s most likely the result of another hack part of the Fappening. The site claims that a total of four photos were stolen and could be all published online soon.
“Fake photos”
The cited source, however, cites a representative of the Kensington Palace as saying that “these are fake photographs,” without providing any other details. Of course, Meghan Markle hasn’t commented on this alleged leak and is unlikely to release any statement on her own.
Originally started in mid-2014, the Fappening is a nude photo scandal based on leaks made by hackers who managed to compromise the cloud accounts of several celebrities across the world.
Most of the content was stolen from iCloud backups, which are automatically created by iPhones after uploading photos in the camera roll to the cloud. Phishing scams were used for the hacks, as victims were sent emails requesting password resets and prompting them to enter their existing iCloud credentials.
The Fappening hackers have already been arrested, and it’s not known if the most recent leaked photo batches are part of new breaches or were included in the original stolen sets but remained unpublished.
