Gamers should get more rewards after weekly maintenance

The Division is one of the most successful releases of the year, and the team in charge of the multiplayer shooter at Massive has delivered a new hotfix for the game during a brief server downtime to eliminate some of the problems that the community noticed after the launch of update 1.1.

The biggest news from the official forum announcement is that the characters that players were no longer able to view after the Incursion content arrived are now restored to their initial owners, with the catch that those who own them will see all their progress reset to what they had on April 12.

This is great news for those players who were unable to use the avatars that they grew since The Division was launched, even if they lose a couple of days of progress.

At the same time, Ubisoft is eliminating some bugs and exploits associated with the Falcon Lost mission, including the one that allowed groups to damage the enemy APC without triggering the arrival of powerful waves of opponents, which should make the entire experience with it more challenging.

The company also makes it clear that the Incursion weekly rewards will not arrive this week and that gamers should be able to get them once the new maintenance period on Tuesday takes place.

The Division is preparing for another free update in May

It seems that the studio can be pretty happy with the arrival of the first Incursion and is planning to deliver another one, with an increased difficulty level and more interesting rewards, at some point during May.

The plan is to also work with the player community to add more free features to the game before the delivery of paid downloadable content packs starts in June.

Underground is the first of three planned DLC drops, and it will open up access to tunnels under New York City that can be explored by players who are powerful enough to take down a new enemy faction.

In the fall and winter, Ubisoft is planning to deliver another two packages that will add a new mode and other mechanics, although details are relatively scarce at the moment.

The Division was the best-selling video game for the month of March in the United States, according to the NPD Group, and the publisher claims that the success of the new IP means that it will invest a lot in its future.
